Standard Vaillant warranty lengths

The standard Vaillant warranty period is between 1-10 years. If a longer warranty period is given to a model, it means that the manufacturer truly believes in it, however, it is not necessary to choose the Vaillant boiler with the longest warranty.

The warranty may cover only labour costs or a specific part of the boiler, depending on the manufacturer.

Vaillant has moved to offer guarantees on boilers, rather than a warranty. This basically means that Vaillant will repair any boiler faults caused by the manufacturing process. This warranty is not the same as a guarantee, which is a promise by the manufacturer to inspect the problem.

This guide will help you to understand Vaillant’s guarantees.

Who is Vaillant?

Vaillant has been creating products for the heating market since over 140 years. They have created water heaters, Combi boilers, and other types of heat exchangers. Learn more about Vaillant and their entire range of boilers at Boiler Guide.

Standard Vaillant guarantee

Vaillant boilers are available with a 2-5 year parts and labour warranty depending on the model. However, many models have a 7-10-year warranty when installed by an advanced Vaillant installer.

What is covered by the Vaillant guarantee

The difference between a warranty and a guarantee is that a warranty covers only boiler component failures. If the failure is caused by contaminated drinking water, you will be charged for the engineer’s visit.

Vaillant guarantees you the repair of defects in the manufacturing of your Vaillant appliance. One of our Vaillant Service Engineers will complete the repair and will be responsible for both labour and parts.

The guarantee does not cover any defects that are not related to the manufacturing of the product, or as a result from misuse. You will receive the complete terms and conditions of your guarantee together with your guarantee confirmation. You can also read them here.
